Background and Discussion:
The Parkway (Mobile Homes) Subdivision is located in Precinct 1, northeast Harris County, north of the intersection of Park Trail Drive and Tidwell Road. The subdivision is a residential mobile home neighborhood consisting of approximately 510 lots. The existing drainage system consists of a concrete curb and gutter which drains to a main trunkline drainage culvert that runs south and ultimately outfalls into HCFCD maintained ditch P122-00-00. The existing drainage pipe system is undersized and causes surface water to back up at the intake areas. This causes localized flooding at the intersections of the roads. Floodplains and Historical Flooding data show 307 homes reported structural flooding due to Hurricane Harvey.
