Background and Discussion:
The Parkway Forest Subdivision Drainage Improvements - 2018 (P122-00-00 Basin) is located in Northeast Harris County in Precinct 1. The proposed solution includes upgrading the storm sewer system and adding a detention basin.
This rehab is located on Pearl Point Street, south of Abalone Way. The existing streetlight (ID 331844) conflicts with the proposed design. As outlined in the utility agreement, the scope of work includes the temporary removal of the streetlight during construction, followed by its reinstallation once construction is complete and verified. The streetlight will be restored to its original location and electrically reconnected.

Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the Parkway Forest community. No impact on project schedule or cost anticipated.

Alternative Options:
If no action is taken, the project may not be constructed as scoped.

County Strategic Plan Goal: 5. Minimize the impact of climate change and disasters.
