Background and Discussion:
Phase II of this project will include the use of a unified data platform for data sharing, hyperlocal forecasting, AI-driven modeling, and use of field deployable sequencing technology. The aim is to bring industry, academia, and government together to create a field deployed network capable of deep monitoring of the biome to address the challenges of pandemic preparedness, antimicrobial resistance, and ecosystem health.
Expected Impact:
The network will provide real time monitoring of mosquito populations, predictive analytics, and genomic sequencing to provide unprecedented situational awareness, and the ability to identify emerging pathogens. The network will increase the efficiency of monitoring Harris County's mosquito populations, lead to more targeted interventions, and seeks to prevent mosquito-borne diseases in Harris County residents.
