Background and Discussion:
This transmittal provides an update on progress to scale and deliver an expanded maintenance program, which was made possible as a result of voter support to provide an additional $100.1 million in annual funding. This funding has allowed investments in infrastructure, faster responses to community concerns, and a focus on long-term planning. Looking forward to FY2026, the Flood Control District's proposed budget reflects an unprecedented investment in maintenance at a total of $164 million, which will support increased investments in maintenance services, such as infrastructure repairs and vegetation management.
