Background and Discussion:
On March 13, 2018, Commissioners Court authorized the purchase of Riverside General Hospital located at 3204 Ennis Street, Houston, Texas 77004. The project is backed by grant funding from Houston Endowment for the purchase of the original Riverside General Hospital historic site with three buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. If this project is approved to go forward as requested, it is anticipated that the site will be the new headquarters for Harris County Public Health (HCPH) and the ACCESS Harris initiative that will bring valuable preventative care and wrap-around services to the Third Ward community.
