Background and Discussion: Harris Health will begin construction and development activities for the Casa de Amigos Urgent Care expansion in fall 2026. To facilitate construction operations and maintain adequate parking capacity for patients, visitors, and staff, supplemental parking and construction laydown space will be required during the project.

Expected Impact: Acquisition of the property will advance Harris Health’s voter-approved bond program by enabling the expansion of Urgent Care Services at Casa de Amigos Health Center. The project is expected to expand access to outpatient health care services closer to residents, reduce barriers to care, support earlier intervention and chronic disease management, and increase Harris Health’s capacity to serve the growing needs in the area.
