title
Request for approval of an amendment to an interlocal agreement with the City of Baytown, for a partnership project for drainage improvements to the West Baytown area (San Jacinto River Watershed, Bond ID Z-02, Project ID G100-00-00-G001, Precinct 2).

Background and Discussion:
On October 12, 2021, the Flood Control District and the City of Baytown entered into an Interlocal Agreement to design and construct improvements to the City's sewer system and install a truckline. The Parties now desire to amend and restate the Agreement as the City is now in receipt of a CDBG grant and wants to take the lead on the project. This amendment will allow the City to bid, manage and oversee the construction of the plans. This will ensure the City complies with the term of its CDBG-DR grant and be solely responsible for the Project and all conditions of the grant.
Expected Impact:
The proposed improvements are expected to provide drainage improvements to the City's sewer system and install a trunkline in the West Baytown area
Alternative Options:
To not participate in the amendment change would jeopardies the City grant funding agreement for completion.
