Background and Discussion:
Since 2022, the Houston Bar Foundation (HBF) has provided funding to the Administrative Office for the District Courts (DCA) to purchase supplies and food needed for the annual in-house Court Coordinator Conference. The Texas State Legislature mandates that court coordinators obtain sixteen (16) hours of training annually. Conference topics are based on court coordinator needs, new mandates, or updates on community legal resources and services provided by HBF and its affiliated organizations and partners. The conference is a partnership between the DCA and the HBF.

Alternative Options:
Without the HBF grant funding, the DCA would have to rely on its general fund budget to pay for supplies and food.
