Background and Discussion:
Harris County Engineering Department employees are asked to work on construction sites and in county facilities while in view of constituents. Therefore, it is imperative that the department's employees are provided with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and clothing items so that they are able to professionally represent the department and county while being safe.
The department has historically not had a method to purchase embroidered and embossed items which has led to haphazard efforts to outfit employees in branded PPE and clothing.
Expected Impact:
This contract will allow the engineering department to provide its employees with needed logo embossed PPE so that they are able to mitigate the risk of injury while conducting operations in field and office settings while in the view of the public.
