Background and Discussion:
Contract No. 350 is the replacement of 178 existing barrier-mounted light fixtures on Sam Houston Tollway, between US-59 South and US-290 with 78 LED high mast light fixtures, along with the replacement of electrical services throughout this corridor. The project is substantially complete, with only some existing electrical services which need to be disconnected by CenterPoint-Electric. As such, the contractor has requested and HCTRA concurs, that the retainage on the project be reduced. The release of 2% of the overall retainage will still allow for coverage any expenses identified as part of the final project closeout.

Expected Impact:
No additional funding is required as the project is substantially complete. The payment of the released retainage will come from the Toll Road Authority approved funding for the project.
