Background and Discussion:

This project will focus on design, develop, migrate, deploy, and manage the mission critical applications in a Cloud Infrastructure, along with the different services that is needed to run County IT operations seamlessly. The project will cover top tier HC applications and planning to avoid IT disruption.

AWS Service for HC IT Disaster Recovery. This amendment is to help support the project for Mission Critical Systems to be replicated in the IT DR Cloud environment. This is a continuation of HCUS’s effort to shore up system redundancy and will help restore mission critical systems and data, minimizing downtime and potential data loss and to continue operations of IT infrastructure in case of a major incident, cyber-attack, natural or human-made disaster.

Expected Impact:

Improves HCUS’s ability to support Harris County Mission critical services to restored, minimizing downtime and potential data loss and to continue operations of IT infrastructure in case of a major incident, cyber-attack, natural or human-made disaster.
