Background and Discussion:
In response to the destruction wrought by Hurricane Harvey that underscored critical shortages in Harris County’s inventory of affordable homes, Harris County’s Single Family New Construction Program (SFNC) matches individuals and families with opportunities to purchase new affordable homes in growing development throughout the County. Contract allow for the construction of infrastructure such as, water, sanity, drainage and some landscape features.
Change order includes the addition of the following items pond excavation, aggregate, perforated pipe, H2 inlets, catch basin with grates and PVC pipe.
Expected Impact:
Construction of infrastructure will allow a new single family residential community of approximately 60 singles
family residential home to be constructed on approximately 10.57 acres in Precinct 1 under the Harris County
Single-Family New Construction Program.
Changes will allow for the project to be constructed per the original intent.
Alternative Options:
No other options, the proposed infrastructure is needed to complete the project.
