Background and Discussion:
Harris County Commissioners Court previously approved the Annual Action Plans (AAP). The Annual Action Plans, which are a consolidation of the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG). The following CDBG Funded projects are being amended:
2019-2022 CDBG Funding:
Project 2019-035 Harris County Housing and Community Development- Single Family Affordable Housing Programs (Countywide).
• Deobligate $17,892.36 in 2017 CDBG Funds and deobligate $576,195.50 in 2018 in CDBG Funds.
• Total project Entitlement funding, including previously awarded amounts, will be $1,600,000.00.
Project 2023-008 Harris County Housing and Community Development- Single-Family Housing Program (Countywide).
• Obligate $36,094.87 in 2017 CDBG Funds, obligate $576,195.50 in 2018 CDBG Funds, obligate $106,248.71 in 2019 CDBG Funds, obligate $2537,547.76 in 2020 CDBG Funds, obligate $736,482.46 in 2021 CDBG Funds, and obligate $146,578.12 in 2022 CDBG Funds totaling $4,139,147.42 in prior year CDBG Funds.
• Total project Entitlement funding, including previously awarded amounts, will be $9,921,636.47.
Expected Impact:
Approval of this item allows Harris County Housing and Community Development Department to add additional funding needed to support Harris County HCHCD’s Single-family housing projects.
