Background and Discussion:
Project includes completion of the two-lane concrete curb and gutter road with sidewalk on both sides and left turn lanes at the intersections approximately 7,800 linear feet of Anderson Road construction from 500 feet west of Hiram Clark Road to Almeda Road/FM 521 (Segment 2).
This change in contracts includes:
Item #97 - Low-Profile Concrete Barrier (Relocate) - Increase Low-Profile Concrete Barrier quantity 400 linear feet. Concrete barrier is needed during storm sewer construction and allow for Center Point Energy relocation of gas line ($12,800.00 - 14 days).
Item # 159 - Furnish and Install barbed wire fence at detention pond (Includes demolition of existing fence) - Cost proposal for the removal or replacement of 2,750 linear feet of barbed wire fence around the newly acquired right of way for the pond work ($32,050.00 - 3 days).
Item #152 - Well Pointing (Minimum Bid $25/linear feet) - Well pointing needed to remove the groundwater for storm sewer installation - Increase well pointing quantity 500 linear feet ($15,000.00 - 7 days).
Item #157 - Temporary Pavement Markings (Larger Quantity) - Buttons (Yellow) 4 inches (Solid) (Removable) Furnished - Applied and Removed. - Increase quantity of yellow buttons of 5,400 linear feet ($10,800.00 - 0 days).
Expected Impact:
Change allows the contractor to be compensated for the items which were in the plan but missed in the bid tab.
