Background and Discussion:
This contract enables the replacement and modernization of network equipment for the enterprise wireless infrastructure. The equipment is on an approximate 7-year cycle requirement replacement of approximately 500 wireless access points a year including other associated infrastructure like wireless controllers. The wireless infrastructure continuously needs to be expanded in capacity due to the constant increase of County’s needs.
Expected Impact:
The enterprise wireless infrastructure provides wireless services to the public and all supported County agencies across all County facilities.
