Justification & Alternatives:

The existing surfacing has reached the end of its useful life and exhibits deterioration that creates maintenance challenges and potential safety concerns. Replacing the surfacing is necessary to reduce trip hazards, maintain compliance with ADA accessibility requirements, and meet current playground safety standards. Timely replacement and repairs will help preserve these valuable community assets, reduce on-going maintenance costs, and ensure uninterrupted public access to safe and inclusive play spaces.
