Background and Discussion:

The project will convert the existing 2-lane roadway into a one-way roadway. Proposed improvements include installation of a 5-foot sidewalk, landscape buffers, pedestrian-scale solar lighting and roadway improvements with milling and overlay. In alignment with Precinct 2’s Revive2Thrive initiative, the project will enhance roadway, drainage and traffic conditions while improving pedestrian’s accessibility, safety and overall quality of life for the surrounding community.

Expected Impact:

This project will incorporate pedestrian facilities that promote safety, mobility and connectivity throughout the project corridor. By modernizing existing facilities and aligning with Revive2Revitalize goals, it will create a more accessible environment and enhance the overall experience for nearby residents.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, improvements to pedestrian facilities and mobility in the area may be delayed.
