Background and Discussion:
Based on the bid results, the recommendation of OCE and the design consultant, IDS Engineering Group, Inc. it is recommended that the lowest responsive bidder, AAA Asphalt Paving, Inc., be awarded the construction contract to perform the work for Asphalt Roadway Maintenance in Channelview for Harris County Precinct 3.
Expected Impact:
Awarding the contract will allow the recommended bidder to proceed with constructing maintenance repair options such as base repair, mill, and overlay for various roads in the Channelview area. The total length of the project is 7.54 miles of roadway and consists of twenty-five roads.
Alternative Options:
The alternative is not to award the contract. If no action is taken, the maintenance repair options will not be constructed.
