Background and Discussion:
Project is an asphalt roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation along various roadways and roadside ditch rehabilitation in Precinct 1.
This change order includes the addition of asphalt base repair not originally in the contract and addition of days to contract to complete additional work.
• Increasing line item # 16 BASE REPAIR WITH HOT MIX ASPHALITC CONCRETE BASE COURSE (BLACK BASE)- 10" DEPTH. This change order will add $144,210 and 25 days to the contract.
Expected Impact:
This change order will cause adjustment to the original contract to reflect actual work performed due to actual field condition and allow an increase of an existing line items so that the project can be completed in accordance with the original intent.
Alternative Options:
Leave out the additional base repairs and only perform the mill and overlay per plans.
