Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this Contract is to perform activities in support of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Cooperative Agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in support of public health emergency preparedness.

 

Expected Impact:

This award provides the coordination of training and resources to support Harris County’s ability to respond to public health emergencies. Emergency preparedness planning and exercises help to identify gaps in emergency plans and procedures that, when addressed, will improve the readiness of Harris County.

 

Alternative Options:

Approval of this award secures staffing and supplies to ensure the continued support of public health preparedness activities in Harris County.
