Background and Discussion:
Harris County has an existing signal on-call contract to install and modify traffic signal systems and related improvements.
Expected Impact:
Continual installation and modification of traffic signal systems and related improvements to improve the public safety and operation of the intersection.
Alternative Options:
Intersections are evaluated in accordance with the 2025 Texas Manual on Uniform Control Devices (TMUTCD), which takes into consideration traffic volume, crashes, pedestrian activity, and roadway network. Installation of a traffic signal at intersections that meet the required warrants and will improve the safety and operations of the intersection.
