Background and Discussion:
In 2023, Harris County was awarded two grants by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to increase outreach and assist constituents with the sign-up and enrollment process to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), the National Pilot Program (NPP) and National Competitive Outreach Program (NCOP).
Due to Congressional inaction, the last fully funded month for the benefit was April 2024. This request is to accept the amendments to those grants in accordance with FCC terms and conditions.
Expected Impact: The acceptance of amendments will allow US to close out the grants following FCC guidelines and grant policies.
Alternative Options: N/A. The grant period of performance must be edited to reflect the actual grant timeline.
