Background and Discussion:
Moody Park currently faces significant mobility and safety challenges due to required detours and U-turns across the METRO Red Line, as well as parking areas consuming valuable park space. A comprehensive multimodal study is needed to evaluate access, identify infrastructure deficiencies, and support resilient, long-term improvements for all park users.
Expected Impact:
The study will guide development of a resilient, inclusive Master Plan that enhances safety, mobility, and access to Moody Park. It will support sustainable improvements, strengthen community connectivity, and ensure the park meets evolving recreational and environmental needs for surrounding residents.
