end
Background and Discussion:
This project enhances transportation accessibility and safety within the project limits. Part of project scope includes around 140 linear feet of sidewalk within Fort Bend County. This segment (140Linear foot) will tie-in the project sidewalk to the existing sidewalk on the north side of T103-01-00 bridge inside Fort Bend County.
Expected Impact:
Project is needed to provide alternative mobility and connectivity options that enhance pedestrian and bicycle access within the surrounding neighborhood. Also, it will Improve walkability, accessibility, and safety, along South Mason Road with reduced vehicle trips and corresponding reductions in carbon emissions.
Alternative Options:
Construct the sidewalk until the county line only, which will cause gap in connectivity and discourage sidewalk use for both county residents.
