Background and Discussion:

TIRZ 15 was created in July 1999 by the City of Houston to set forth goals, expectations, and redevelopment plans and programs necessary to create and support an environment attractive to private investment; and to ensure that the improvements will result in the long-term stability and viability of the area. Since TIRZ 15 is largely within the boundaries of Precinct 2, the commissioner of the precinct may nominate someone for the position as provided in the adopted Boards and Commissions Uniform Board Policies and Procedures, Section 8, D. Appointment Process. Members serving on odd-numbered seats on the board serve terms expiring July 6th of odd-numbered years.

Expected Impact:

Reappointment to a position assigned to and previously appointed by Precinct 2, which will enable continuity of operations and leadership on the board.
