Background and Discussion:

The U.S. Department of Transportation released the NOFO for the Innovative Finance Asset and Concession Grant Program. The program seeks to leverage public and private funding. USDOT intends to make available approximately $46,000,000 in funds associated with FY 2024-26.

Expected Impact:

Westgreen Boulevard between Raintree Village Drive and FM 529 is a missing key Major Thoroughfare link within Precinct 4. The corridor will be assessed to determine if alternative delivery models are viable and develop a plan for the project. Implementing this project will improve roadway connectivity for area residents by removing traffic conflicts occurring along local roadways.

Alternative Options: To not apply for the grant for funding to study an improvement for local transportation and safety.
