Background and Discussion:
The Sanitary Sewer System Construction project at Mercer Botanic Gardens scope included installation of new sanitary sewer lines, manholes, and decommissioning of existing septic systems to support infrastructure improvements at the facility.
During the course of construction, field conditions and design clarifications required adjustments to quantities and methods, resulting in Change Order No. 23/0407-1. This change order added $43,622.83 to the contract and extended the duration by 293 calendar days. All work was substantially completed by April 17, 2025, and final inspection confirms the project was completed in accordance with contract documents.
Expected Impact:
The completion of this project ensures the Mercer Botanic Gardens facility is now served by a code-compliant sanitary sewer system, replacing outdated septic infrastructure.
