Background and Discussion:

Requesting approval for advertisement of a project seeking qualifications from qualified professional firm(s) to provide Architectural and Engineering Services related to Building Facilities in support of the Flood Control District.

Expected Impact:

Firms selected will establish a pre-qualified registry and may be engaged across the project life cycle for support from preliminary services, project design and bidding to completion of construction.  Project scopes may also include sub-stages and disciplines such as environmental review, property acquisition, surveying, geotechnical, utilities, architectural landscape, etc.  Scope of work may include owner’s representative on collaborative delivery models and project management and technical services support.

Alternative Options:

The alternative would be to individually advertise with an RFQ for each project, which would increase the resources involved in procurement processes and extend significantly the timelines of projects.
