Sarah Shaikh, a Girl Scout with Troop 13467, will donate and plant assorted native plants to Kleb Woods Nature Preserve as her Girl Scout Gold Award project. Kleb Woods has been affected by invasive species, weeds, and plant damage caused by natural disasters. These conditions have reduced the biodiversity of the space, making it harder for native plants, pollinators, and wildlife to thrive.
This Gold Award project will focus on removing the damaged and invasive plants and then planting a variety of native species to restore the area’s natural balance and promote a healthier ecosystem.
