Background and Discussion:

This is a request to authorize negotiation of an agreement for DCCM North America, LLC to provide engineering services to quantify standardized benefits for Flood Control District projects, including those funded through USACE, CDBG-MIT, CDBG-DR and the 2018 Bond Program. While the Flood Control District is implementing standardized benefits metrics on new projects, there are other projects that have been recently completed or that are late in the overall project lifecycle where this methodology needs to be applied to in order to develop a comprehensive set of project benefits.

Expected Impact:

The project will determine Standard Benefits for projects so that the Flood Control District can accurately and consistently document flood risk reduction benefits as well as communicate them to the community.

Alternative Options:

The alternative to approving this item would be to create delays in implementing standardized benefits across Flood Control District projects.
