Background and Discussion:

The collaborative efforts proposed by the University of Texas (UTHealth) School of Public Health hold great promise for enhancing our understanding of the complex interplay between climate change and public health outcomes. Harris County Public Health will be a sub-awardee and funds would support an intern.

Expected Impact:

The proposed project is highly relevant to the scope of the A.67 solicitation “that support communities in building their resilience to climate change by utilizing NASA Earth observations.” We have involved multiple boundary organizations, including two public health departments and various community-based organizations that “assist in knowledge sharing, have established relationships with communities, and have experience working with communities to build climate resilience.
