Background and Discussion:

The June 25, 2024 Commissioners Court approved the award with Epoxy Design Systems, Inc. for concrete repairs at the Washburn Tunnel.  This authorization is for the approval of the first renewal option with Epoxy Design Systems, Inc for for the period of August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026, at a cost of $880,312.07 (24/0012). 

 

The approval of this renewal allows HCTRA to continue concrete crack and spalling repairs of the tunnel liner, masonry brick, and other related items at the Washburn Tunnel to ensure continued proactive maintenance of HCTRA’s infrastructure.

 

Expected Impact:

Funding will come from Harris County Toll Road Authority.
