Background and Discussion:

On September 24, 2019, Commissioners Court approved a first amendment to the Interlocal Agreement MCTRA that was originally approved on March 31, 2015 to provide tolling services on Montgomery County Toll Road Authority’s (MCTRA) toll roads.  The first amendment addressed toll equipment and installation costs for the Tomball Tollway Facility (SH 249), matched MCTRA’s interoperability rates to those of other toll authorities in the State and modified the division of administrative fees.

This second amendment will update Section 6.a.i Compensation of Services to provide updated compensation necessary for the County to continue providing tolling services on all segments of toll roads in Montgomery County, Texas for the Montgomery County Toll Road Authority.

Expected Impact:

The second amendment provides HCTRA with the ability to be compensated for providing tolling services to the Montgomery County Toll Road Authority and meeting the County responsibilities as outlined in the Interlocal Agreement.
