Background and Discussion:
Request the Second Amendment for professional engineering services agreement no. 2022-104 for monitoring the construction and management phase services with BGE, Inc. in the additional amount of $2,548,726.05 for construction management and construction materials testing in support of the continued efforts for the Construction of Inwood Forest Stormwater Detention Basin. The term of the Master Agreement is hereby amended to extend until the completion of the projects under the Master Agreement. The renewal of this agreement will be in effect until the construction phase of the project which is expected to be completed in 2 years.
Expected Impact:
The consultant BGE, Inc. is providing construction management and construction materials testing services supporting our federally funded and locally funded projects as needed. The federally funded project services would be considered for reimbursement against the approved funding agreement and would offset those costs to the County. Having these services available on an as needed basis will supplement and relieve workloads for full time County staff.
Alternative Options: If it is not completed, an alternative would be to re-select engineering firm and need alternate funding sources.
