Background and Discussion:

The Arbor Oaks Stormwater Detention Basin is a proposed regional flood risk reduction project in the White Oak Bayou watershed. This project is part of the ongoing CDBG-DR program. The agreement will allow for the safe removal of certain facilities so that construction can occur. This project occurs in the 3rd quartile under the 2022 Prioritization Framework approved by Commissioners Court.

Expected Impact:

Upon execution of the utility adjustment agreement, the utility will undertake removal of the facilities allowing for the safe construction of the project stormwater detention basins.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken flood risks will remain the same. Additionally, the project utilizes federal funds, so delays could impact the funding of the project.
