Request for approval for the Flood Control District to dedicate a 0.0077 acre easement, tract D111-00-00-02-602.0, to the City of West University Place, to assign a 3.900 acre easement, tract D111-00-00-02-603.0, to the City of Southside Place, and to assign a 3.900 acre easement, tract D111-00-00-02-604.0 to the City of West University Place, for the public project known as Poor Ditch Conveyance Improvements, for the purpose of channel improvements, and that the County Judge execute the easements (Brays Bayou Watershed, Bond ID C-12, Project ID D111-00-00-C002, Precinct 1).

Background and Discussion:
This is a request to approve a right-of-way dedication, and the assignment of two (2) easements for the Poor Farm Ditch Conveyance Improvements projects in the Brays Bayou watershed, referenced in an Interlocal Agreement between the City of West University Place, and the City of Southside Place. These properties are located within the project limits between Bellaire Blvd and West University Blvd along Poor Farm Ditch D111-00-00-C002.
Expected Impact:
These conveyances will give the entities in the ILA the right to enforce encroachment removal within 10 feet of the Flood Control Districts right-of-way. This conveyance provides the district with additional support enforcing encroachment removals.
Alternative Options:
Not approving this item would result in The Flood Control District violating the terms of the existing ILA between the Flood Control District and the cities and placing future funding contributions by the Cities in jeopardy.
