Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 4 has requested that Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) manage the study and design of a new structure to replace the existing Harris County Precinct 4 Tracey Gee Community Center. The Tracy Gee Community Center, which opened in 1993, is popular for their exercise classes, kids activities, and multiple meeting spaces.
Expected Impact:
This court item is the first step to allow Precinct 4 to be able to improve the community center to provide benefits to the community surrounding Tracy Gee Community Center.
Alternative Options:
HCED can explore additional avenues to deliver these improvements, but this would delay community benefits and impact the project schedule.
