Request for approval to renew an Interlocal Agreement between Harris County and the Eleventh Administrative Judicial Region of Texas for reimbursement of salary costs effective March 31, 2026.

Background and Discussion:
The Agreement authorizes the County to pay the 11th Regional Presiding Judge and the support staff (as needed) salaries and applicable benefits and retirement contributions; and for the 11th Administrative Judicial Region of Texas to mad quarterly reimbursements to the County commencing March 31, 2026, and continuing for the duration of the Region 11th Presiding Judge’s term (March 31, 2030).
Expected Impact:
The 11th Administrative Judicial Region of Texas maintains the list of qualified visiting judges and provides funding and oversight of visiting judges assigned to the 61 District Courts. The availability to Visiting Judges to cover calendars is critical for continuity of District Courts operations.
