title

Request for approval to transfer a position to Human Resources & Risk Management (HRRM) to integrate the department’s human resources operations into HRRM effective February 10, 2024.

end

Background and Discussion:

Human Resources and Risk Management (HRRM) currently provides consultative services to Pollution Control Services (PCS) regarding employment needs, employee relation matters, training programs, compensation analysis, employee benefits, and other human resources issues. This request is to integrate the human resources operations of PCS into HRRM.

Expected Impact:

Integrating human resources operations into HRRM will provide greater infrastructure, support, improved efficiencies, and greater internal controls to PCS.

Alternative Options:

The human resource operational function could remain under PCS; however, the support and efficiencies would not be as suitable as if it was integrated into HRRM.

Alignment with Goal(s):

_ Justice and Safety

_ Economic Opportunity

_ Housing

_ Public Health
