Request Summary (Agenda Caption):

title

Request for approval of the seventh amendment between Harris County and The Harris Center to allow for the lump sum payment of The Harris Center’s FY24 budget allocation.

end

Background and Discussion:

In the original 1994 agreement, The Harris Center was to invoice Harris County monthly for the total annual allocation.  Since 2017, on an annual basis, the agreement has been amended to allow for a lump-sum payment of the annual budget allocation, to allow for better cash flow for The Harris Center.

Expected Impact:

The lump-sum payment of the annual budget allocation will allow for better cash flow for Harris Center. The $23,067,171 payment is the FY24 general fund budget allocation for The Harris Center.

Alternative Options:

Return to monthly invoicing and processing on behalf of the Harris Center, resulting in possible cash flow issues for the Agency.
