Background and Discussion:

This event will feature curated panel discussions offering invaluable information on navigating the procurement process, accessing contracting opportunities, and exploring innovative strategies to elevate small business capacity. The initiative directly supports the Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity (DEEO)’s mission to expand equitable access to County procurement and promote inclusive economic participation. We believe this sponsorship presents a strategic opportunity to engage directly with historically underserved businesses and advance the County’s small business development goals.

Expected Impact:

This event provides an excellent opportunity for community engagement. This involvement will facilitate connections with local businesses and support their economic growth.

Alternative Options:

Commissioners Court can choose not to approve this sponsorship; failure to approve the sponsorship will impact DEEO’s ability to engage with this community of business and community leaders.
