Background and Discussion:

The Greater Greenspoint Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone was created to promote new investment, general welfare, employment, and economic development in the zone using designated tax increments. The Board actively engaged in the implementation of the Project Plan, the development of a financing plan, and in the design and implementation of a redevelopment policy for the area. Since TIRZ 11 is largely within the boundaries of Precinct 1, the commissioner of the precinct may nominate someone for the position as provided in the adopted Boards & Commissions Uniform Board Policies and Procedures, Section 8, D. Appointment Process. Members serving on odd-numbered positions expire on August 31st of even-numbered years.

Expected Impact:

Reappointment to a position previously appointed by Precinct 1, which will enable continuity of operations and leadership on the board.
