Background and Discussion:
Traffic signals are rebuilt to improve the operation of an intersection and better facilitate pedestrian activities. As such, the consultant will be tasked with the signal design of the intersection to improve operations. The consultant will be tasked with evaluating pedestrian accessibility through the provision of crosswalks and associated median nose opening adjustments required to facilitate pedestrian activities.
Expected Impact:
Designing and constructing a traffic signal at this intersection will improve operations and better facilitate pedestrian activities.

This location currently operates using an existing traffic signal at the intersection. An alternative is to not rebuild the signal at the intersection, which will not provide additional operational and pedestrian benefits.
