Background and Discussion:

This year’s conference is the second of its kind and is a grant requirement that Public Health is fulfilling. Last year’s conference was a great success, and we are looking to expand this year with a greater speaker lineup and more interactive sessions. The target audience is Community Health Workers, Public Health Professionals, Healthcare Providers, Community Leaders, Policy Makers, and Advocates for Health Equity.

Expected Impact:

Focused on advancing community health, this year's conference theme, "Deepening Community Health Workers Roots of Leadership, Equity, and Resilience," explores strategies, policies, and practices that empower Community Health Workers (CHWs) to make a measurable impact on health equity and community resilience. Discussions will emphasize skill enhancement, fiscal sustainability, CHW leadership, and health equity, aiming to move from advocacy to action through innovative initiatives and collaborative partnerships.
