Background and Discussion:
Transcore, LP has been responsible for providing image review services for the toll road system since 2015 as approved by Commissioners Court per RFP Job #14/087. The existing contract for this service is expiring and a replacement is currently in Procurement, however, the selection process will not be complete before the contract term ends. As such, the purpose of this Sixth Amendment is for image review services for the Harris County Toll Road Authority; to add a one (1) one-year extension and add additional funds not to exceed the sum of $39,000,000. The amendment will extend services from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.
Expected Impact:
This vendor provides image review services and certain services to support the Toll Road Authority In-house
Image Review services that generate assistance in a large portion of HCTRA’s main source of revenue. Not
having these services in place would risk impacting the revenue stream.
Alternative Options:
As these are proprietary systems, this vendor is the only one who can efficiently provide these services. No
other solutions are recommended for this identified need.
