Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this program is to provide services and assistance directly to victims of crime to speed their recovery and aid them through the criminal justice process. This grant provides continued funding for four domestic violence & human trafficking advocate positions and partial funding for a civilian victims advocate supervisor position. The grant period is October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.

Expected Impact:

This grant award provides funds from the Crime Victims Fund to enhance crime victim services in the state. This grant award will enable the Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking Advocacy program to continue its activities.

Alternative Options:

Not accepting this award would jeopardize the four domestic violence advocate positions and would reduce our ability to provide domestic violence & human trafficking advocacy resources.
