Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 2 requested the Office of the County Engineer (OCE) to manage the design and construction of a proposed hike and bike trail segment which will run from Province Village Park to Dixie Farm Rd. The proposed scope of work involves 19,000 linear feet (3.5 miles) of 10-foot-wide paved recreational trails to be constructed along the north side of Clear Creek, from Province Village Park to Dixie Farm Road Park/ Juneteenth Park. The project is a partnership with the City of Pearland.
Expected Impact:
This agreement will assist Precinct 2 providing improvements for pedestrian and bicycle mobility to better serve the community in this area.

The alternative would be to hire in-house staff to perform this work or negotiate with another firm.
