Request for approval of a Fiber Network Interconnection Agreement with Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority (FBCTRA) to allow FBCTRA to re-attach their Fiber Optic Cable to Harris County Toll Road Authority’s (HCTRA) Fiber Optic Network along the Westpark and Fort Bend Tollways at the Harris and Fort Bend County lines (Precincts 1 & 4).

Background and Discussion:
HCTRA and FBCTRA previously had fiber connections at the county line. This agreement with FBCTRA will reconnect fiber optic cable at the county line along Westpark Tollway and at the county line at the Fort Bend Tollway and Beltway 8 to allow the agencies to share information (at no cost to HCTRA).
Expected Impact:
This reconnection of fiber optic cable will allow the agencies to share information.
