Background and Discussion:

This feasibility study will investigate the East Fork and West Fork San Jacinto River Watersheds and the Clear Creek Watershed to identify potential flood impacts due to unmitigated flows coming into Harris County from upstream counties and to evaluate the impacts of the increased flows on erosion and sedimentation issues.

Expected Impact:

This feasibility study will provide valuable information regarding potential future flood risks as well as potential future erosion issues in Harris County watersheds resulting from the unmitigated flows from adjacent upstream Counties.  The feasibility study will provide the Flood Control District and Harris County planners with data needed to help Harris County coordinate with adjacent Counties regarding their existing drainage criteria and policies.

Alternative Options:

There is no alternative action that will provide the data and information that will be developed from this study.
