Background and Discussion:

The Seamist Drive I project includes roadway improvements that consist of a typical section of a concrete curb and gutter two-lane road with two 12-foot drive, drainage improvements that provides inline detention storage, public utility improvements including water line and sanitary sewer replacements, street lighting, landscaping and planting additional trees, and a safe pedestrian crossing along both sides of Seamist Drive, between 11th Street and 18th Street.

Expected Impact:

This project seeks to improve transportation and drainage systems and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structures in the Seamist Drive area.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, the safety and mobility benefits associated with the proposed improvements will not be achieved, thereby depriving residents and pedestrians of the enhancements these improvements are intended to provide.
